DeWitt White story is emblematic of what happens everyday to hundreds of under-privileged kids in America who are left in a corner only because of their skin or because they can’t afford to fit into the established system. DeWitt was a pure talent who was marginalized because of his skin color and socioeconomic condition. Ending up on the wrong pathway, with the wrong crowd, he was shot and died at age of 17.
